Maritime Hybrid, Electric & Hydrogen Fuel Cells Conference - Bergen 2022

The annual Maritime Hybrid, Electric & Hydrogen Fuel Cells Conference returns to Bergen on 25-27 October 2022.

Hybrid, electric and hydrogen fuel-cell technologies continue to drive the transition to a zero-emissions maritime industry. But more investment in innovative technology and an understanding of when the cut-off will be for the cessation of fossil-fuel-powered systems will be needed to accelerate the development and take-up of green vessels.

This year’s agenda, delivered by leading authorities in the sector, will discuss and debate crucial topics such as:

  • How the drive to meet zero-emissions requirements is encouraging investment by shipowners in carbon-neutral vessels
  • How can the cost gap between green and fossil fuels be reduced?
  • Is more industry co-operation and collaboration needed? How can this be achieved?
  • What are the latest innovations in fuel systems technology?
  • What will the 2026 government regulations on zero emissions in the World Heritage Fjords mean for the industry? How will it respond?
  • What opportunities does the green agenda offer the maritime industry, and how can companies capitalise?
  • Encouraging competitiveness across the global industry

Join us in Bergen for three days of compelling debate, knowledge sharing and unrivalled networking.

One Ocean Week

In April 2023, the Norwegian tall ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl returns to its hometown Bergen from The One Ocean Expedition, a circumnavigation of the globe. For almost twenty months, Statsraad Lehmkuhl has sailed over 55 000 nautical miles, visited 36 ports worldwide and built new knowledge about the ocean.

The homecoming to Bergen launched the One Ocean Week – seven days of conferences, meetings, workshops, and different activities in Bergen, all focusing on creating the ocean we need for the future we want.

One Ocean Week 2023 aims to create attention and share knowledge about the crucial role of the ocean for a sustainable development in a global perspective.

One Ocean Week 2023 is open for everyone that is interested in conserving and sustainably use the oceans, seas, and marine resources.
